I am in the final stages of a NERC-funded PhD in Biological Sciences. My PhD research studied the exposure and consequences of organic pollutants in the Alpine swift (Tachymarptis melba) at the University of Aberdeen, in collaboration with the Swiss Ornithological Institute (Vogelwarte). I have also completed an internship at BirdLife International, Cambridge, where I completed an extinction analysis of 'lost' bird species.
Previous research opportunities have included the effects of food insecurity on daily weight trajectories in the European starling (Sturnus vulgaris) at Newcastle University; and the effects of parent-offspring competition in the burying beetle (Nicrophorus vespilloides) at the University of Edinburgh.
My passion is research and data science, and I hope to continue developing my skills in the application of ecology to understand natural or anthropogenic environmental stressors in wild animal populations.
