QUADRAT DTP - NERC PhD studentship (2019-2023)

My ongoing PhD is titled: "Flying sentinels: using a long-distance migratory bird to assess exposure to POPs over two continents and their health consequences."

Studentship - University of Edinburgh (2017)

Completed a 10 week studentship to get my undergraduate project researching the effects of parent-offspring competition in the burying beetle, Nicrophorus vespilloides. Published paper available here.

Awards

Best student presentation - 2022

I received the award for the best student presentation at the QUADRAT DTP annual science meeting. I presented the preliminary results of the first chapter in my PhD thesis. This research will now be presented at the British Ecological Society (BES) in Edinburgh this year (December 2022).
