It was an amazing experience to present at the EOU 2023 at Lund University. My abstract was selected for the seminar “Tools to monitor bird contamination and exposure effects” and my oral presentation was given alongside the invited speakers for this seminar. The title of my presentation was:
"Measuring exposure of legacy persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in a long-lived migratory bird"
It was a fantastic opportunity to present at the BES in Edinburgh. My presentation was part of Environmental Physiology - Animal Physiology in a Changing World. The title of my presentation was:
"Is minimally-invasive sampling the future of persistent organic pollutant research in birds? A meta-analysis on tissue comparisons."
I presented my preliminary findings for a meta-analysis looking at the impact of tissue choice on Persistent Organic Pollutants, (POPs) research in wild birds.
This was a fantastic practise run for the BES conference later in the year and I came away with the award for the Best Student Presentation.
